De vacature
Purpose of the role E-Bike System Engineer
To strengthen the Product Development team Giant is looking for a passionate E-Bike System Engineer who will help Giant develop the next generation e-bike systems.
As E-Bike System Engineer you will be responsible to help in the planning and development of the e-bike system components. You will coordinate technical requirements in a team of product managers and designers and will be accountable that those technical requirements are well communicated among all project team members. You will provide technical solutions during the design phase and you will coordinate the sample verification process both within the product development department and with quality assurance team members.
You are capable to deal with complex technical problems and find solutions in both the mechanical and electronics sphere. You are able to transfer your analyses and solutions accurately into instructions for the industrial designers, mechanical and electronics engineers, either in Europe or in Asia. You are comfortable working in a team of product managers, planners, designers and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Research new technologies and future opportunities in technological developments and solutions found at competitors and/or other industries
- Work with the Quality Assurance teams to assure new products and new specifications will meet the applicable quality standards and improve on prior learnings
- Support the E-Bike product managers with technical feasibility study during the setting of the list of requirements
- Support the industrial designers and engineers in Europe and Taiwan to develop technical solutions to enhance the design quality
- Plan and organize testing/validation sessions in the field to test the products among our target users and deliver test reports
- Plan, order and manage your own set of physical verification samples for the projects you are working on
