- Knowledge of customs declaration systems
- Familiar with customs classification (e.g., TARIC)
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
- Strong communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus
De vacature
Purpose of the role Custom Assistant / Item Master:
The purpose of this role is to ensure accuracy and completeness in the master item table, coordinating customs-related tasks, and facilitating data management. This includes close collaboration with various departments to obtain accurate product information and supporting import and transit declarations.
Responsibilities:
- Update and manage the master item table in the system
- Collect necessary product data for customs purposes
- Collaborate with warehouse, finance, and quality departments
- Determine commodity codes and applicable duties
- Prepare import and transit declarations in customs systems
- Serve as a secondary contact for customs inquiries
- Provide colleagues with guidance on creating master data
- Ensure data accuracy in the system and DMS
- Submit customs declarations and supporting documents
- Classify items according to EU HS codes
